The Portfolio
From Sketch
to Pavement.
No shortcuts. No shortcuts in the leather, in the lasting, in the conversation. A bespoke pair takes six to twelve weeks. That is the point. The client who waits for it understands what they are receiving.

The Brief
Every commission begins with a conversation, not a form. We talk about weight, occasion, material memory — the shoe as a character in a larger story.
Sketch & Pattern
Pencil to paper. Pattern pieces cut from card. The geometry of a shoe is a problem in three-dimensional origami — solved before a single hide is touched.
The Last
A custom last carved to the client's foot. This is the spine of the shoe — everything else hangs off it. Fitting takes three sessions minimum.
Lasting & Welt
Hand-lasted, Goodyear-welted. The leather is pulled over the last with lasting pliers, tacked, and stitched with a welt that will outlast the decade.
Finish & Story
Hand-stained in layers, burnished with bone, polished with wax. Then documented — photographed, described, archived. Every pair has a thesis.
The houses
that called.
Each collaboration begins with a single pair — a study piece, a prototype, a proof. From there, the relationship defines itself.
Commission
a Collection.
Serious enquiries only. The form asks three questions. Your answers determine whether we're right for each other.
